MLM Home Based Business

A MLM Home Based Business is not really different than any other business.

The only difference is that individual people have the ability to make the money instead of the corporations.

Simply put, an MLM company is a company that has decided against the typical distribution channels for their product or service. For instance, when a company makes a product, they sell that product to wholesalers or large companies who house the product. The company makes a profit selling to these entities.

The wholesaler now must sell the product to either another "middle-man" (i.e. wholesaler) or a retail operation. When they do this, they tack on to the price as well to turn a profit.

This chain goes on for some time until eventually a retail store has the product and their mark-up for their profit.

This is called a distribution channel (or the method the product is distributed from the manufacturer/creator of the product to the end user).

The difference in MLM is this: The product's price is set from the company with the appropriate amount of profit built in. This profit is built to where people in the distribution channel can each earn a portion, similar to wholesalers and warehousing companies.

One major difference is this: Manufacturers and retailers spend millions on advertising to sell products. Instead of spending millions, that money is funneled through commissions to the people selling in a MLM Home Based Business.

Now, I define a "Home Based Business" as any business I can work from home...or vacation, or anywhere I choose. I am not tied down to my desk (if I do not want to be), but I am also not required to go to a lot of extra events unless I choose to do so. Having a MLM Home Based Business is about having flexibility and freedom, not restrictions and confinement.

That is what makes up a MLM Home Based Business: A distribution channel for a company's products that you can work from home (or vacation!).
